Trip to Kayoko Village

On New Year's Eve we headed towards the remote village of Kayoko, about which we'd done a story because it was like hundreds of other villages in Sierra Leone--cut off from the main roads so that food spoiled and they had no access to doctors and other amenities. They were complaining that the government should fix the roads so their agricultural products could reach the market before getting rotten. It's a 2-hour trek through the jungle and some beautiful valleys to get there. We went with Danny's family and a couple of guys who were at my workshop where we first got the story idea.
